A Slime Mould Algorithm Programming for Solving Single and Multi-Objective Optimal Power Flow Problems with Pareto Front Approach: A Case Study of the Iraqi Super Grid High Voltage

Optimal power flow (OPF) represents one of the most important issues in electrical system for energy management, planning, and operation via finding optimal control variables with satisfying equality inequality constraints. Several optimization methods have been proposed to solve OPF problems, but there is still a need achieve optimum performance. A Slime Mould Algorithm (SMA) new stochastic inspired by behaviour oscillation mode slime mould nature. The algorithm characterized as easy, simple, efficient, avoiding stagnation local optima moving toward solution. Different frameworks applied single conflicting multi-objective functions simultaneously (Bi, Tri, Quad, Quinta objective functions) solving problems. These are total fuel cost generation units, real loss on transmission lines, emission issued fossil-fuelled thermal voltage deviation at load bus, stability index whole system. SMA has developed incorporating it Pareto concept generate approach, named Multi-Objective (MOSMS), (MOOPF) Fuzzy set theory crowding distance strategies obtain best compromise solution rank reduce non-dominated solutions, respectively. To investigate performance algorithm, two standard IEEE test systems (IEEE 30 bus 57 systems) practical (Iraqi Super Grid High Voltage 400 kV) were tested 29 case studies based MATLAB software. results obtained approach compared other algorithms mentioned literature. confirm ability provide better solutions variables.
